Pokut Highland, the most popular and aesthetic highland of Çamlıhemşin, is established on the ridge between Fırtına and Hala valleys at an altitude of 2050 meters. Meaning "Windy Valley" in Armenian, Pokut is the spot where the sea of fog (sea of clouds) is watched most frequently and beautifully.
Unlike other highlands, although it is above the tree line, the forest texture has penetrated between the highland houses in Pokut. It is one of the highlands with the best-preserved wooden architecture in the Black Sea. Houses are arranged so as not to block each other's view.
The ideal time is between late May and early October. The road is usually closed due to heavy snowfall in winter months (November-April).
